Check out the new Fall line from Benjamin Bixby. Our work with founder André Benjamin began at the very roots of the brand-its platform, name and mark. The balloon is found on most of the clothing and the "X" is an integral detail in many of the garments. The Fall '09 Collection will be available at Barney's, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Harrods and Colette.

The First Nations peoples of Canada welcome visitors with totems called Inukshuks-larger-than-life monuments of guidance and friendship. It's a fitting symbol for the official emblem of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. For Coca-Cola's sponsorship of the Vancouver Games, we designed a visual identity system anchored by the iconic bottle imbued with the Inukshuk's totemic power. The program launches late Fall 2009 in the lead-up to the Games, on everything from point-of-purchase displays to product packaging to advertising. During Games time, the VIS will be on full display in environments throughout the Olympic Village, in hospitality venues, and on merchandise.

It's easy to forget that in today's not-so-optimistic world real progress continues, beauty appears, brave new worlds are explored, and creativity flows. We keep seeking- and occasionally finding- our best selves. In a joint venture with Cooper Carry, Iconologic has launched ReasonsForOptimism.com, a blog that keeps the bad news cycle in perspective by highlighting the best of what's happening everywhere around us.

We keep this cautionary quote on our wall: "The number of awards granted in any given industry is inversely proportionate to the contribution of that industry to society." Nevertheless, we also enter our work in awards shows. This month's loot: two OneShow pencils, a CLIO, an AIGA365, and a feature in the 2009 I.D. Magazine Design Review.

Since late 2008, we've been working closely with Promethean, one of the most forward-thinking educational technology companies in the world. Through their ActivClassroom suite of products (interactive whiteboards, learner response voting devices, intuitive software and prometheanplanet.com-a huge online teacher community), they're changing the way the world's children learn, evolving the ordinary chalkboard-and-lecture classroom into a wild, rich multimedia experience with limitless potential. It's an ongoing relationship, but so far we've rebranded The ActivClassroom, created dozens of print pieces and product announcements, designed a couple videos, re-vamped some of their web presence, and redesigned their product packaging. Check back in soon; there's more to come.
